NOLLYWOOD BOAT MISHAP: Etacherure Condoles Families of the Deceased
The honourable commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Etacherure Ejiro Terry, sympathizes with the families of those involved in the boat mishap which led to the death of some persons including Nollywood super star John Paul Odonwodo also known as Junior Pope.
The bureau commissioner who sent out officials of the Delta State Emergency Management Agency [SEMA] to ascertain the cause of the unfortunate incident, also reiterated that, it was totally wrong to board a boat without safety life jacket.
Etacherure, however noted that strict measures would be put in place to ensure compliance to safety protocols around our waterways and the use of life vest as well as other safety gears before boarding a boat.
Etacherure, said “My deepest condolences go to the families of those who lost their lives in search of their daily bread, It is indeed a tragic and heartbreaking incident, and I know that the families and friends of the victims are going through incredibly difficult time. I want to express my deepest sympathies and let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May the memories of those who passed, bring you comfort in this difficult time. And may you find strength and peace in the days ahead.”
