ANNOUNCEMENT: Ijeh To Meet Stakeholders In The Hospitality Industry
As a follow-up to the previous meeting held with stakeholders in the hospitality industry from Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts on the 6th of May, 2024, in warri, it is hereby announced for the information of the public, particularly those in the hospitality sector, especially operators of Hotels, Bars, Fast Food, Clubs, Restaurants and Lounge in Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts of the State, that there will be another round of meeting with the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Darlington Nnamdi Ijeh.
The upcoming meeting will take place both in Warri and Ughelli, respectively. The meeting for Warri will hold on Tuesday, the 28th of May, 2024, at Ishaka Hotel, Refinery Road by 10.00am prompt, while that of Ughelli will hold on Thursday, 30th of May, 2024, at Ivie Hotel, Ekiugbo, Ughelli by 10.00am prompt.
At both meetings, discussions will be centered on critical areas of support needed by the tourism and hospitality industry operators as a prerequisite for meaningful government intervention and identifying ways to improve local patronage, promote national recognition, facilitate domestic tourism and attract the vibrant and lucrative diaspora market in line with the MORE agenda of the state government.
Also, a formal introduction of the consultants who will be responsible for the collection of consumption tax in Delta Central and South will take place at both meetings.
The meeting is mandatory for all stakeholders in the hospitality industry in the aforementioned districts. Defaulters will be noted and subsequently sanctioned by the state government.
