For us, we knew this honour will come one day. This is not far fetched. His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is a thorough breed with time for little details. His hunger for excellence is undiluted and unmatchable. Often he is underrated to his advantage, as succinctly observed by the Duke himself, Prince Nduka Obaigbena at the Thisday Awards.
Governor Oborevwori, is a man of clear vision, very tactful, intelligent, excessively proactive and prompt in all actions, underestimate him at a price. This is man whose daily watchword is “What Will You Be Remembered For.” a day does not roll by without reenactment these words.
A glance at his background: from his youthful days, community leadership, construction of Osubi Airport, his glorious days and record breaking performance as Speaker of the State House of Assembly, till date as Governor of our dear state, it is all stories of dedication and excellence.
The Governor is a man of fews words laced with actions. He is an ardent promise keeper. So, when he carefully crafted his MORE Agenda, it was obvious Deltans have a good deal in him as Governor of the state.
Therefore, the prudent management of funds, infrastructural development, the massive urban renewal drive, construction of bridges and expansion of city roads, linking of our rural communities with roads and bridges, installation of solar power and equipping of medical facilities, the illumination of our streets with solar power, expansion of the universities in the state and the numerous human capital empowerment programmes across the state, that are impacting the lives of Deltans positively today, are testimonies that Oborevwori is wired for success in all ramifications.
